Denise Aiken

Denise C. Aiken is a native born Rhode Islander. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Providence College and a certificate in Paralegal Studies at Roger Williams University. She was a Litigation Paralegal in the area of Medical Malpractice with the firm of Chisholm and Feldman from 1980 to 1989. She is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School and joined the firm of Chisholm and Feldman as an associate from 1989 until that firm dissolved in 1996. While there Ms. Aiken introduced Family Law as a component of that firm’s practice. Ms. Aiken had a ten year relationship with Roger Williams University from 1994 to 2004 in which she was an adjunct professor in the Legal Studies program and she was the acting director of the Family Law Clinic for a semester in 1996. She also served in the RI General Assembly for three terms. Ms. Aiken joined Rhode Island Legal Services, Inc. as a staff attorney in 2003 after serving as the Advocate for Juveniles and Families for the City of Warwick.
